Default asking permission

how exactly do you go about asking permission to hunt on a farmers land? do you just simply call and say, "hello, can I please hunt on your land?" What apporach do you guys take.

btw, we are hunting coyotes and are told by our local gandermountain that farmers around here love coyote hunters.

face to face is much better--go with hat in hand and the utmost respect--and don't be impatient--he may want to set their and talk with ya a spell. develop a relationship that will benefit future permission askers as well as yourself

never on the phone!!![&:]; always go and talk face to face. just ask " do you ever give permission for hunters to thin the coyotes and deer on you property?" if he says yes, tell him you would love to be one of the ones he lets hunt.tell him you are willing to help him around the farm if he has something you can do. just don't be in a hurry to talk or to leave.get to know them and let them get to know you.if his says maybe later, tell him you will check back and if he doesn't say no or doesn't tell you he will call you. then yoiu may have a chance.go bacl later and talk again.can't hurt.
