Does any beagle working man run his dogs at night. Man I do, and it is great. I, use night glow collars and a handheld spotlight. The beagles use there nose more. And the rabbits are all around in the dark. You can see there red eyes at 100 yds. I don't shoot them at night. Run them in the day ,ok. Runthem same place at night, Awesome runs.

I run mine alot at night during the summer, to get em away from the heat a little bit. One problem with night runnin is the threat of coyotes, another being that it is tough to tell what they are actually running unless you can tell by the race.

Have you tried dog bell's they work. Yes, it is hard to tell what they are running. Try running on small properties. Rabbit won't leave the area and you can see them if you use a cordless spotlight. It seems to me that at night you can hear the rabbit moving through the brush, then shoot it with the light. Little red eyes. Pretty cool.
