I just picked up this rifle and I'm now starting to do my research on what loads(off the shelf) are going to be the best for yotes with this gun. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. It's a Savage, synthetic stock with a stainless barell if that makes much of a difference.
Off the shelf, you can shoot the 130 grain ballistic silvertip. Handloaded you can go down into the 90 grain range and get velocities in the 3600 fps range. That would make quite the long range coyote killer.
Ok...got a .270 WSM for yotes. What ammo?
