Default I want to get "back" into trapping

I want to start trapping again. I decided not to trap yesterday, but have decided against that decision. I went coyote hunting tonight and had no luck. I have no hunting partner, so I cannot hold the light up and shoot at the same time. I do not want to hunt in the day because this road it is common for dump trucks taking turns at 50 mph. I see 20 dump trucks an hour. I do not want to let a bullet fly when there are people around.
This is the reason I have decided to trap the coyotes. Here are the rules for trapping in MS:

It is illegal to trap with the aid of bait, recordings of bird or animal calls, or electrically amplified imitations of calls of any kind. However, liquid scents may be used.

I want to trap the coyotes but do not know how I can. I have read about a scent post, but have no clue how to do it.

Here is a list of the questions:

1. What size traps do I need?
2. What do I need to do to the traps when I get them? IE wax, dye, etc.
3. Where should I put my traps?
4. What type of setup should I use?
5. How should I set up my setup?

Thank you for all of your help.

I really like snares. They only cost $1 each and are very efective. Do a search to see how they are used. You are even able to make your own. They are mainly set up on game trails. Make sure that they are leagle in your state first. In Oh we can use them as long as we put deer stops on them so they can't close on the leg of deer. Good luck they are alot of fun. Be SURE to check them every day. They set up quickly also.

I do not like snare traps. I would prefer leg traps.

I use #2 Coilspring and it works great! But when I might catch a fox accidently I use a 1 3/4 but the #2 works the best
