I want a powerful ammunition that i can hunt squirrel with. I plan on making head shots, but just in case i miss, i want a bullet that wont tear up the meet to bad. What should i get???
I like to use standard velocity ammo. It's more accurate and it gets the job done. Not to mention that it's more quiet. I've used it for years. Now if you don't mind blowing the guts out the other end CCI Stingers are a pretty good bullet. They do tear the meat up though.

I also use standard velocity solid points for the big gray squirrels that I plan to eat. I use hollow points on the sickly fox and black squirrels to try and help with culling.

another vote for standard velocity solid point...buy ever kind and see what you and your gun like....I even use 22 shorts sometimes...(just for fun, out of a revolver)

I myself hunt with my 22 all season long and i know what the ammo can do to them one thing is if u are good enough to hit there head every shot i would stay with fedearl hollowpoints but if u dont want to tear up there meat to bad if u hit somewhere else i would most definitly use solid points but they also tear up the meat pretty bad so my best addvise would be to try ur best to hit them in the head if u dont want the guts blew out of it !!
