Default what is your favorite yote buster???

i was wondering what eveyones favorite coyote gun and load(s) were?
shotgun or rifle
hp or boattail
.223 or 50 cal full auto

lol

i recently purchased a howa heavy barrel .223 rem with the slim stock not the big fat beavertail. im going to mount a nikon monarch on it.
My only complaint is the rifling twist is only 1-12. i would have prefered 1-10 or 1-9. oh well i get what i can get.I hope to load it 55 grain nosler ballistic tips or v-max moly coated 50 grainers.

any and all opinions will be appreciated.

that 1 in 12 twist wont do very good with 50 gr bullets and heavier, better stick with 50 gr and lighter with that loose of a twist 40 and 45 grainers are the most accurate. I have a m700 adl is .223 with a 1 in 12 twist with 55 grain bullets at 100 yards the best groups I could get was 1 inch but at 200 yards it openned up to 5 inches, that 1 in 12 just doesnt stablize that grain of bullet enough for that distance, I ended up going with a 45 grain bullet and my groups at 200 yards shrunk down to just under 2 inches with that rifle i stay with the lighter rounds, I recently bought a savage 10FP in .223 with a 1 in 9 twist it does great with the 55 grain bullet holds under an inch at 200 yards.

Heres a pic of what my 10FP does at 200 yards

Ive killed a few with a 22 LR just keep your shots under 75 yards and hit them in the head, heck yea they work on yotes. I shot a coyote in a full run at about 75 yards with my ruger 10-22 I put a foot lead on it , I didnt hit it in the head like intended but hit it in the arse it did a 180 and began biting its butt thats how I new I hit it in the arse. While it was biting its butt I tapped my trigger twice sending 2 more bullets, hit its head the other spined it.

If I was showing off, I would say a 50 cal head shot would get it done. But my best rifle right now is a Bushmaster Varminter 24" special. Had a 7mil varminter for years but never liked the feel of it. This thing just sits in your arms so nice, you think the gun is part of your fingers.
