Default what scope?

is there a scope out there that would be good for my 222 to use for coyote hunting? i dont plan on shooting more than 100 yards. i would like one that is easy to use and is under $120. even if i have to buy a used one off ebay.

I just got a Sportsman's Guide in the mail, (not a big fan of the mag) and they had Redfield 4-14X's for sale for like $129 new. I think that's right.

If the Redfields are anything at all like they used to be, that's not a bad deal.

Anymore, I'd stay away from Ebay. Too many people looking for a quick buck, and selling junk.

you would see plenty of yote in the scope. it's not like you are shooting paper targets for accuracy in some olympic competition.

btw, are you near carbondale by any chance? i went to school there in the 80's.

One scope that I think would work pretty good for the distance you mentioned it the Bushnell Trophy 3-9 x 40mm. Cabela"™s sells them for $99.99. I have this particular scope and find it to be nice and clear with a wide angle field of view..

if you want a cheap scope that is very reliable and should stand up to your .22's recoil then get the Tasco Target/Varmint. I have the 2.5-10X-42mm on my .17HMR. It cost me $100CND, it would be even less if you are in the US. they also have 6-24X scopes too that are relatively cheap.
