RE: Legal to hunt in your state
if all you have in your area are english sparrows (a 3 point bird) and no 5, 6 or 7 pointers; i think you and other people in your situation should be allowed 5 points per sparrow and 0 points for any of the others.
how's that sound?

RE: Legal to hunt in your state
That sounds really good, the only problem that would be really hard to get aroound would be if some guy goes and cheats by taking like 5 pics of the same birds in like different poses and with different scenery/backrounds. Your point system seems very good, pigeons would kinda beout for me, but thats alright, and starlings are hard to get within 40 yards to get a good shot with a pellet gun. Black birds and sparrow point systems sounds accurat too. I think its time to make a post stating all the rules, and open up the contest.

RE: Tentative rules
Here in Wyoming you can shoot pidgeons among other things all that you want and with whatever you want. My cousing and I went out last year to help a farmer shoot some of his pigeons since they were eating all of his cattles' feedl. We found a whole bunch of them feeding in a huge mob.... so we snuck up to them and we both shot once at the same time with our 12 gauges. We killed something like 62 of them.... that we could find! We sure made that farmer happy.
