NEW .22 SHELL?

MY FRIEND TOLD ME THAT HE READ IN A CATOLOG THAT THERE IS A NEW .22 SHELL COMING OUT EITH THE POWER OF A 17HMR BUT IN A .22 SIZE SHELL
DOES ANYONE ELSE KNOW ANY THING ABOUT THIS?
ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPREACATED

i don't know much about teh .17hmr but i do know that aguila makes a high velocity round over 1700 fps but isn't that accurate shooting that fast w/ a light bullet

It is the same case as stinger, built by CCI, 2100 fps Muzzle Velocity, same bullet as HMR (17 Grains), all major gun manufacturers will chamber it.

i don't think there is a new .22 shell coming out that has the power of the .17hmr.

the original poster is in 7th grade (not that there is anything wrong with it, we've all been to school), and someone else told him about it.

besides, there would have been some sort of "new products for 2004" write up about in in OL, FS, SA.

ok, i get it now. it's still a .17 cal bullet fired through a .17 cal bbl, only the case is the dimensions of a necked nown .22. i was under the impression that this was something that could be fired through any normal .22 lr.
