gamo all the way!!! i have a shadow 1000 and i love it... i would go with the hunter 440 though with your price range... thats an even better gun than mine... good luck!
Don't get the crappy ones. Go here: http://funsupply.com/ Get the b-19 in .22 and then you have a squirrel gun. I have this one. It shoots about 700fps. That may seem slow but it is in .22. The pellets are heavier. Most of the other airguns say they shoot 1000 fps. They don't shoot that fast for long. They are spring powered. The spring eventually wears out and it slows down. Plus they use the 5 grain pellets! The b-19 is tested with average weight .22 pellets and is tested for a long time, even after the spring is worn out. Don't fall for the $200 gamo 220. Get the b-19. It is the same thing just a different name. You won't regret it. After all it's only $100 shipped!
What do you plan on doing with it? If you go hunting with it I suggest you get a .22 pellet gun. Squirrel's gun with the 640 fps velocity is just enough to get the job done. No offence squirrel. His velocity drops fast with a .177 pellet if that is what he shoots. The benjamin is a good gun but you can get a better one. The b-19 from funsupply.com is the best I have seen.
You're short on cash and you can still afford $200 for an air rifle? WOW! When I'm short on cash I can't even afford $5.95 for a can of Copenhagen. You can get a Beeman from WalMart for under a hundred bucks and I've killed around 15 of them stinkin' tree rats.
