17CAL VS 22 MAG

I WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT THE MAIN DIFFERANCES ARE. I OWN A 22 MAG AND USE IT EFFECTIVELY COYOTE HUNTING. WHAT DOES THE 17 COMPARE TO THANKS FOR ANY INFO

I have shot both the 22mag and 17. I own a 17 and shoot my grandfathers 22mag. Although i have never hunted coyote with them i do use them for groundhogs. Personally i dont see any real advantage with the 17. The wind causes them to drift really easy. So my vote would be for the 22mag.

I love the 17. It is extremely destructive, but I would want to use the new 20gr bullet on yotes. As far as fow on down, you can't beat it. I really like shooting ground hogs with it.
