Default Those Poor misguided 223 guys.

I sure laugh when I see or hunt with those poor misguided 223 guys with there toy want to be rifles. My 22-250 shoots flatter and faster than a 223 will ever go. I figure these guys who shoot them are either too stupid or didn't get through 8th grade to read a ballistics chart. The charts don't lie folks. Seems these 223 shooters are just plain stuck in low gear when it comes to a real caliber. hope they grow up some day and take up a real rifle.

Anyone tell you about the barrel wash with the 22-250? The point is to know your gun and its capablities. Do you really think the ground hog, coyote, prairie dog, etc. know how fast that 22-250 was that missed it? In a couple of years when you grow up you'll probably be suffering from that dreaded magnumitus.

When are you going to grow up and realize that there is really very little difference between the .223 and 22-250 out to about 250 yards? The .223 is a fine round, and while I prefer the 22-250 myself, I would not insult someone for choosing a .223 instead. In fact, if they can hit with their .223 what I can hit with my 22-250, then they are a better marksman than I am and deserve some respect. I was at the range today with my 22-250 and there was another guy there with a Les Baer Custom .223 that was shooting Black Hills ammo into about .75MOA at 200 yards, one right after the other. That's as good as I can do with my .22-250 Ruger M77VT MkII. I have no doubt that if that guy knows the trajectory of his rifle and can make a decent range and wind call, he'd be able to pop a prairie dog (or anything else) out to at least 400 yards with it, and it's a SEMI-AUTO! I'd like to see that level of accuracy from a semi-auto .22-250.

Oh, and BTW, the 223Rem and 22-250Rem are both the same caliber; caliber .224". They are a different cartridge.

250 rounds of .223 ammo = $62.99

250 rounds of .22-250 ammo = $129.99

I use and enjoy both calibers. Mostly .223 here in NY. I would be cautious about calling people stupid when your message is laced with misspelled words and improper grammar. Just my opinion.

The only advantage the 22-250 has over the 223 is tragtory. Most guys aren't good enough shot's to take advantage of that! 400 yards shots and beyond is where the 22-250 is suppose to shine, just wasted yardage.

223 will kill PD's, rock chucks, and even coyotes out to 350 and even 400 yards. It uses less powder, brass and ammo are cheap. You can put 20 rounds in your pockets. It's is easier on your ears. The barrel will last twice as long.

Do I shoot long range (400 to 600 yards)? You bet, but I jump up to the 22-243 (with 80 gr VLD bullets and a fast twist barrel), 243 or 25-06. They will buck the wind so much better than a 55 gr bullet out a 22-250.

Sounds to me like Daddy bought you a .22-250 and that's all you've ever had... Now your suffering from inferiority complex and think you have to belittle other calibers in order to make up for your own shortcomings...

Anytime you want to get together and put my .223 against your .22-250, just let me know and we'll come back in here and let you apologize for your total misunderstanding of what a .223 is actually capable of...
