I use squirrel calls alot when I hunt them and have alot of success with
them. Use a bark or a chatter cause it makes them more comfortable
with coming out then a distress sound does. Learn to use them and your
squirrel numbers should increase.

DearSlayer357,
Don't give up on that distress call yet, just use it at the right time of year - when there's youngster squirrels out. I use my distress call all the time, and have had much better success with it than my chatter calls. If you call on the distress, and then follow up with an agressive chatter call within a few seconds, I believe it makes the older ones more bold because "other squirrels" are being bold. It works for me, as I discovered during a deer hunt during bow season. Good luck!

i use a bark call, or you could just simply whistle if your trying to get a squirrel to come out of a tree, out of brush, or its nest.
