.223 or .243

i was which one to get .223 or a .243
i'll be hunting in fields and woods and some swamps for coyote and fox
any help would be appreciated

I think either size will be good. I think good grain selection would be a good factor as well. If i had a choice between the two i would pick the .223

.223 you will love it. and shells are very reasonable.

i would sugest the cheaper of the 2 but if shells r cheaper for one then the other then get that one

223 is cheap as heck to shoot. Even the good premium bullets dont cost an arm and a leg.

I see a lot of people saying to use a .223 Myself, I've used a .243 with GREAT success. Of course, I also use it for deer hunting and antelope on occasion. Though, if I were to buy one of those two strictly for varmint hunting... yeah, I'd have to side with a .223 as well.

how much does a 223 kick? less than a 12gauge????

I think that depends largely on the individual gun. If you get a gun designed specifically for varmint hunting, with a heavier stock and a "bull" barrel... you won't feel a kick hardly at all. My .243 is relatively light and I feel it kicks less than a 12 gauge.
