Steve, I'd suggest starting with a .223 of your choice. Just need to camo your body and make sure there is nothing shiny on your gun, it doesn't have to be camoed, just not shiny, and just about any predator call on the market will call in coyotes. I'd suggest starting with a couple of rabbit, jack or cottan, in the closed reed models. I'd also suggest getting a predator calling video to watch and try to learn a few things from it. Such as what the calls should sound like, the rythm of the calling, set-up selections, etc.
It can be frustrating at first, but once you have some success, you'll be hooked.
