Small Game, Predator and TrappingFrom shooting squirrels in your backyard to calling coyotes in Arizona. This forum now contains trapping information..
I am considering putting A red dot scope on A 22 magnum for small game such as squrriel etc. I do not know much about these scopes and was wondering if someone could give me some information on them, and if they would work well for small game? Would the dot cover up say A squrriel at 50 or 60 yards? If someone could explain how these scopes work and how to use them for best results on game it would be appreciated.
I was using a red dot on a Single Six. It was ok for plinking but for hunting it wasn' t so good. It would wash out in really bright light. Then there' s batteries. I did take a couple of squirrels with the red dot this year, but I think you' d be better off with a regular scope. You could try a fixed power scope. I just put one on my Six.
