I'm not sure what all we define as predators. Or maybe this should be a predator/nuisance/trapping contest? Ex. PA has porcupine season. 3/day. Last few years I've taken several. They aren't predators, but should things like this be scored? Any input is appreciated.

It ain't my show, but I wouldn't necessarily include Opossums, nor skunks. Nor beaver, bunnies, squirrels, gophers, pdogs, wood/pack rats, etc.

Most tolks tender "predator hunting" to game that can be called. You can call bears, lions, wolves, bobs, lynx, coyote, fox, badgers, and coons. I'd suppose weasel types like a fisher would come in, maybe, heck if I know, we don't really have them to speak of in KS - I reckon wolverines would come in too, but I've never seen them on a predator contest.

So, I suppose the question is more towards - is it a predator calling contest, or a furbearing contest. My cousin and I have a trapline full of skunks that could add up REAL QUICK

I say strictly calling predators so it will be an even playing field for the guys that have to hunt public land, like myself.... Wish I could shoot foxes.. I literally call one in on every stand here in Florida.

Not successful yet on any coyotes I did call in a huge grey fox. I swear he/she looked like a small dog. Had to sit there and watch him/her at 20 yards I'm going to stat bringing a camera along to take a picture of all the foxes I call in lol
