Default Bobcat Taken With Armasight "Predator" Thermal Scope

I had mentioned that I am getting to test out new gear for a local company and previously have taken some hogs with the help of this 'budget' thermal scope. It is budget in that it is quite inexpensive and it is inexpensive because the level of technology is 3-4 years old, but 3-4 years ago, people were hunting with such technology and doing quite fine. In short, this scope will handle most folks' night hunting needs in regards to distance considerations as most folks don't shoot over 100 yards and virtually never over 200.

Was hunting hogs when I happened to spy this bobcat go walking by. I began blowing on my rabbit distress call in hopes of getting it to come closer or stop. The best I could do was to slow it down some and get it to consider the noise, but it really had no interest. Then he turned to walk away when I drove a .308 Nosler Accubond lengthwise through most of his body, breaking the right hip and left shoulder, blowing out his abdomen along the way. The distance was 120 yards, or what looks to be near the reliably functional limits of this scope for this small of an animal.

As predator removal is part of the landowner's wildlife management plan, he was quite pleased. Here is the video...
