Default 1st time squirrel hunt

Well everyone, I was finally cleared by the NICS yesterday! So I' m now the proud owner of a 12 ga. Remington 870 Ex. Magnum Synthetic. I' m going out tomorrow morning to the St. Francis Sunken Lands WMA to try and bag a few squirrels. Wish me luck. (Maybe I' ll have enough experience when deer season comes around)

handloader, an 870 is a shotgun. Well, Nathan I have an 870 Express Magnum but its not synthetic. That gun has bagged me many squirrels. Just be patient. Good luck!

Well, I got out to the woods this morning at 6:00, picked a good spot and waited. By 8:00 I had a grey squirrel and a fox squirrel. I think the shotgun blasts scared most of them away after that and I left at 9:00. Not bad for my first day!
