anyone ever go coyote hunting in late summer or early fall?we cant use a spotlight so we have to hunt in the day. what tactics and\or calls do you use?

This time of year is when pup distress and howling works best. Usually the food source for coyotes this time of year is good, so using the rabbit in distress won' t be as effective as it will later into the winter, but it still can work. Also, the fawn in distress should work this time of year.







Good judgement comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement!

Shot one this morning using the " pups, yips and howls" tape. Used the rabbit in distress first, but the pups brought him in. Good luck!
