Carolina Coyotes

There have been more and more sightings around Lake Wylie area.

Anyone notice an increase around your area of the Carolinas?

I'm from mass but I noticed a decreese this year. Me and my grandpa think some of them died off from not getting enough food because we had 4-6' of snow in the woods and we usuly have 2'. We used to hear them every night and see there tracks in the roads around the farm. This year Ive heard them twice and haven't seen a single track.

Way more yotes around here (Marion and Horry County) for sure, everywhere I hunt and everyone I've talked to has mentioned the increase of sightings.

Im at the top of l wylie near the airport. Never seen or hear any coyotes here... however suddenly noticed alot of red fox.. been tracking/ watching two that cross my street af night. However I looked af the laws on it.. I cant shoot them cause im west of I77. East side of 77 your in the clear... o well..

I would much rather have fox around than coyotes. Coyotes kill the fox and wolves kill the coyotes.

Still not hunted a fox till now, more of a deer hunter but the thread sounds interesting.

I live in Huntersville (North Charlotte). We live in a heavily populated area.

Behind my house is 25 arcres of woods that is surrounded by business parks. At night you can hear the pack howling like you do out west. It's very cool.

I've seen two coyotes while bow hunting back there. I also get them on my trail camera all the time. Missed a shot at one last year - hit a limb. They just legalized crossbows this year, so I will be intentially hunting them in January this year.

We also lease 1000 acres in Anson / Richmond county. We have coyotes all over the place.

When. ilived in upstate sc last year they were horrible. Had em in tge yard. The rabit population took. Drastic drop the past two years.

i live near one of the old fire stations that have a fire whistle when ever that whistle goes off i might as well have a dog shelter behind my house cause thats all you hear but its not the neighboring house pets its all coyotes and i live up near the south fork
