Default Last weekend's deer season results

I decided to spend the rest of my vacation with family instead of trying to fill my last deer tag. I took the kids out a couple times each chasing squirrels. We had a great time, and it made for a nice squirrel fry. Zachary is 5, and Lillian is 3. She had been out with me once or twice before, mainly just walking around in the woods. We sat in the blind with enough snacks to keep her busy until we got the gray squirrel. She was super excited when SHE found it laying dead at the base of that hickory tree. Zach has been on several hunts with me, and we got the big fox squirrel sitting in our buddy stand. I'll tell you what... Taking the little ones along puts a whole new dimension to the squirrel hunt! We all had a great time. Hanging out with the kiddos beat filling that last doe tag hands down.

SOunds like a great time! I know I'm thankful my dad and grandpa took me out when I was young, and I intend to do the same when I have kids. So good job, I'm sure they'll also relish these hunts in the future. Looks like they had a great time!
