Default Increase in Predators in Wisconsin?

Has anyone else noticed a huge increase in predators in Wisconsin? I know that the reintroduction of wolves have had an impact on northern deer heards, but i have seen more coyotes in the last 5 years and especially more this year. Does anyone have some reasons why and what is the quickest most efficient way to get rid of them? Hunt or Trap?

Hopefully your getting some of ours from here in Il.!!! LOL!! We just got 6" of snow and my brother and I killed 11 'yotes in 2 days with calling a few of the places we deer hunt. No wonder we haven't been seeing any deer this year!!!!!!! We shot 2 in about 30 seconds. I got one with shotgun at 17yds and the 2nd at just at 50yds with rifle on the run for my brother!!!

For us, we started seeing yotes once turkeys became established in our area. Turkeys have been spreading north in Wisconsin, so that might be one reason for the additional animals.

For the last 2 spring turkey seasons, we have had yotes come in to our decoys when we were calling. That was not a good move for them in either case.

I think it has to do with shifting populations. As the deer populations density shifts so too does the coyotes population. In other words, where Bambi goes, Wylie is soon to follow.

If you have coyotes, you have deer as well, otherwise you wouldn't have coyotes.

Personally, I prefer to just shoot, shovel and shut up. When it comes to coyotes.

" I prefer to just shoot, shovel and shut up. When it comes to coyotes."

Surprisingly, here in "SoCal" we can shoot as many as we like, all year long !

We use the three S's for mountain lions here.
