Default how to put an edge on a fleshing tool

my fleshing knife came without a sharp edge and im wondering how to put an edge on it.. ive thought about taking to the the bench grinder but i want a second opinon so i dont screw anything up..

They are supposed to be dull..if they are to sharp you will ruin your pelt easier

yea this one will get the big stuff but that little thin clearish layer of fat wont come off...i have to lift it with my fingers and cut it with a knife
