I am a die hard yote hunter. Killed my fair share. A question now. Why hunt in the summer when they have pups in a den. I know the numbers r high and they need thinning. As ethical hunters we need to make a quick humane kill, right? So is it unethical to shoot the mother of a litter and have 7-8 pups starve to death in a den. For this reason I always stopped hunting predators in April. Just a thought.

canine pup distress is a good call for summer months. yotes need thinning most places around the country, whats worst, starving in the den, or getting tore apart and kjlled by your own father?
