rabbit hunting with beagles

Just wondering if any of yall love the sport of rabbit hunting with beagles I have been doing this all my life. If anyone has questions I would gladly answer them.

i went rabbit hunting the other day. it was the first time i went with beagles, and it was incredible. i want to get a beagle now. how many do you have? and can you be successful with just one?

I have four I like to have at least two running because you will have more chance of killing a rabbit. Me and my dad have twelve beagles

I love doing it we have 3 but you could do it with less but i just LOVE hearing them run them rabbits

i have done it once, and it was probably the most fun rabbit hunt ive ever been on... im the youngest guy (a 20 year old with a bunch of 50 year olds) who goes when we rabbit hunt, so i am usually treated as the dog... i would love to do it again

Absolutely..I've hunted rabbits most of my 60 years, and most of the time it was with just one beagle..Not the SAME one all of those years, of course...

It is great fun and very exciting to hunt with a pack of two or more hounds, but I think you can shoot about as many bunnies ahead of one good dog...Beagles make good house pets, too... Don't ever let anyone tell you that a house pet can't be a good hunting dog...Two of the best beagles I ever hunted with were spoiled, pampered, house dogs, but they were rabbit running machines...
