i want to know what yall think about mouth calls for coyotes.have they worked good for anybody? or are they a waste of money?

Of course hand calls work, they've worked for decades before Ecalls came along. A lot of people still use hand calls, with much success. Do Ecalls give a guy an advantage, certainly they do because of the wide array of available sounds that can't be made with hand calls, and the simple fact that an ecall can be placed away from the shooter.

Give a hand call to an accomplished predator caller, and he will still call and kill predators. With hand calls, there certainly is a slight learning curve, but hand calls can certainly be effective.

E callers are also repetitive coyotes become conditioned, if you find you arent calling yotes where you used to try hand calls they produce a wide range of sounds in one call

What type of mouth call are you asking about?Most diaphram calls are really just turkey calls.They'll work fine but aren't near as loud as tube calls.Primos has some excellent predator calls.

just a suggestion from my personal experience, make sure you always have a primos catnip call in your pack. that call is so damn effective in making realistic distress calls, it made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. it says it's best for bobcats, but i can't count the number of coyotes i've called in with it!
