Well I don't know if it was a .50 or not but I do know that if it was in Illinois like the title of the video says it was HIGHLY illegal because you can't hunt with rifles over there,it's slug gun or handgun only.

Killing just kill giving us hunters a bad name. I hunt yotes and each one I have killed is tanned. Don't see the point of shooting a yote with a 50 which I dont think it was. Just my thoughts.

Coyotes are a different story though. You can easily justify killing a coyote because they can be very destructive to small game populations even up to deer and turkeys. Grouse are almost non existent now in my part of TN. When I was a kid though there was definately a very huntable number. Hawks, bobcats, and especially coyotes are exploding in population and small game is suffering. I see no problem killing coyotes and not tanning their hide or selling their pelt. Also, it may not have been a 50 cal but I can tell you my 270 doesn't even do close to that kind of destruction to a yote. BB
