i would guess by the size and shape they are fox tracks. coyote tracks are generally bigger but the placement of the middle toes on a coyote are farther apart and evenly spaced with the outer toes. the fox's middle two toes are close together and farther away from the outer two toes. thats just my guess hope it helps

It would be easier to tell if you could show a picture with several paw prints so we could see the pattern. A coyote will leave a straight line of paw prints where as a cat will have a staggered print pattern. From just those two paw prints, I'd say coyote.
