I put some dog food out because I had no use for it. Looks like the foxes are attracted to it. I know there are some foxes, but what is the solid colored animal?

They had a piece in our daily newspaper the Burlington Free Press today that said many of the yotes in the Northeast are crosses between coyotes and eastern wolves. Average size for a western male yote is about 25 pounds and the eastern coyote hybrid can reach over 70 pounds and has larger jaw muscles to rip apart deer sized prey. They have a full sized mount that is 72 pounds at the Fish and Wildlife Dept.

Up this way C.I. they have even taken down a few yearling moose as well during the winter months,, They are just one heck of a killing machine that no one wants around.. I did get a pup this past summer with my little s-10 pick-up truck.. He ran across the road as i was heading towards Bangor.. I am thinking about getting a mount done with it.. No canine teeth at the time she was just growing them. A pretty blonde one that would look great with a bobcat mount coming after it.. I am not sure if i will or not but put it away in the freezer until i decide on that one..
Look like grey foxes. Had a pair walk right undre my stand, about 20 yards off, last fall. Didn't know what they were. They were gorgeous. They actually passed by twice - first going to water, then returning.
I didn't know if they were in season at the time (they were) otherwise, I'd have a couple of nice mounts (or the start of a new coat for my wife).
What the heck is this? Yote or a weird fox...
