Default .223 Christmas gift - Need opinions

Which would you rather have. Gun will be used for some Coyote Hunting and occasional plinking. Please note that I can get either gun/scope combination for the same money.

1. Savage .223 laminate stock, blue barrel with accutrigger. Topped with a Cabelas Pine Ridge 3-9x40 scope.

Or

2. Stevens Model 200 (.223) with Camo synthetic stock, blue barrel (no accutrigger). Topped with a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 scope.

I would like to know what you guys think about this. It seems like the Savage .223 with accutrigger would be a no brainer, but does the advantage of camo for coyote hunting and a better scope (Nikon Prostaff) outweigh the savage laminate stock with accutrigger?

Please help. Thanks.

Tough question....................????

I'd take the Stevens "set-up" and pay for a trigger job !

It's the better scope I'm after.

Both rifles will do the job.

Not for me, Savage, Savage, Savage, Savage, Savage.
I like the way Savage, is acurite right out of the box.
I built one of my rifles, from a savage model 110, in gunsmithing school.

The way they are built, makes them very acurite.

I'll reiterate: Stevens is made by Savage... The 200 action is the same as the Savage 110.

The accutrigger is very nice, but it's not a necessity. I'm hunting a Savage 12BVSS (heavy barrel stainless with laminate stock), my hunting compadre uses a Stevens 200 (blued over synthetic), both in .223. Neither one of us have had a coyote argue yet!
