Question Coyotes ! Becoming a problem

Hi guys.
In the last two weeks we heard on the news ( Ohio ) about several dogs killed by coyotes. I do hunt in KY and the population have increased. At least I can hear more than years before.
What calls do you use and work well for cayote hunting?

Just left my neighbors and he was taking bis pet beagle to the vet. Last winter 4 coyotes tried to ambush his dog when it went outside to pee in the dark. They ran the dog down and one nailed her in the hams but she got away. The owner saw it happen but couldn't get a gun sight on the yotes. Same thing happened again last Monday night. The dog got bit on top of the back near the base of the tail. The neighbor has shot one this summer but obviously there are more and they have a taste for beagle. I suggested he start a bait pile with bones and meat scraps and pay attention to it at night. One of these days they will get the dog since they know it is there.

Shoot one and hang it in the area, so all the others know not to come around.

They'll get the message......................!!!

i dont think that really works to well sheridan. i have seen them eat there own dead before. i guess it depends how hungry they are. if you can i recomend trapping them also. i doubt you will totally get rid of the problem. if there is food in the area the yotes will be there.

Ranchers hang them on their fence line (and **** on them) and say that does normally take care of the problem.
