Default Squirrel DOWN

Got my first squirrel today, saw alot this morning and i only pulled the trigger on this guy. he was a ways up in a oak tree, i shot him the back and it came out his belly along with some nasty guts.

I shot him with my marlin youth cricket .22 I figured itd be lighter then my savage, and it did the same thing.

Congrats on your first Squirrel kill. Some of my fondest memories are of my squirrel hunts back in the late seventies and early eighties. My dad does not hunt and he used to drop me off with my trusty old Marlin and would pick me up right after dark. There did not seem to be as many squirrels around as there are now. Good luck on your future hunts.
