My friend and I decided we want to try coyote calling for fun and excitement. I should have ask before I leaped... but I ordered an electronic remote system from Cabelas. It arrives tomorrow. Any helpful hints would be welcomed. They're around the house and really vocal most nights. Lots of swamps and woods surrounded by fields. Have a lot of areas with steep hillsides overlooking brush lots behind fields. I figured if we set up on the hillsi in the woods looking into the low lands around fields at first light we'd get some action. Season opens Oct 1.
If you have a furry looking thing you can display as decoy, that should help draw attention away from you.
Full camo and remain motionless.
Set-up with sun at your back (hopefully wind in your face).
Use shooting sticks and or good rest.
