Default Groundhogs

can you kill groundhogs with a 1000 fps pellet gun? if u can were is the best place to try to shoot them.

yes you probly can about 25-30 yars away and i would shoot them in the head .....I aim for the ear

You'd have to be pretty close. Our ground hogs are hard to sneak up on so I always use my .22 Mag. Usually around 100 yard shot.

With 9 gr. pointed pellets at short range you could, headshots only. Good luck getting close enough.

Yes you can but it will have to be a head shot either at the ear or between the EYES

Yea for sure. I killed one when i was younger witha 10pump Crossman shooting about 700fps with a BB Granted I had to shoot it twice but it's possible. I've shot one with my Gamo shooting about 1200fps in the neck and killed it cleanly 1 shot. Id say ur best shot is a head shot.

I live inside the city of Norwood and I now have Ground hog living
under my ulitily shed got one in my yard last year with a cross bow.
Judge let me keep my cross bow if I promised not to shot varmints inside
the city limits with it again. Must have got a visiting one this sucker
look like it will wieght about 20 lbs. Do have a nice pellet gun hope I get
lucky twice.

Yes positive there is one less in Ohio 25 yds .177 break barrell crossman
1000 fps. Point tip for sure. Make sure it' a head shot. You got to be close
