Default RE: Freeze proof set?

Not exactly, some trappers put their traps in light sandwich bags to act as a trap pan cover to keep dirt or snow from interfering with the pan or trigger. Traps will freeze in the ground solid if anti-freeze is not used. Waxed dirt, buckwheat hulls and dry dirt will help to keep the trap working in freezing temperatures. I use calcium chloride or salt mixed with dry dirt.
