Default Fawn Distress or Cottontail?

I live in southeast ohio and i was wondering if it would be better to use a cottontail distress call or fawn distress call to call in a coyote? i was thinking maybe around June would be when i would be hunting. thanks.

Try'em both, heck....even try'em both on the same stand! Like fishing sometimes, one lure might not work like it did a week ago, so throw out a new lure if the first one's not gettin' abite.

IMO, you will have to try both to see which one works. Hunting is like fishing. Sometimes something works well, and sometimes it doesn't work well (and you will move to something else). Don't overuse a particular call. You may be able to do a call of an animal not knownto bein your areafrom time to time and bring them within shooting distance.Use their curiosityto your advantage.

The time of the year don't mean as much as you may think, just the sounds that trigger the dinner bell, or the dip your noddle syndrome.

none if you can afford a primos hotdog call that is the way to go i have a body john who loves it and we called in a coyote in about five minutes with one.also shot it with a 7mm mag and that droped it and we got it mounted.
