Default fox pro fx3 ?

Who loves it and who hates it. I have a bunch of gift cards to Cabelas. I had a miserable time with my current set up today. I'm thinking of upgrading. I don't know if it worth the 400 bones though. Input would help.

You can find a used FX3 for less than 400. and then used your Cabelas cards for something else.
It's a good caller though, and i really don't think you'd be dissapointed with it.Plenty of volume, good quality sound, and descent remote range and enough sounds for most calling applications.

thanks for the help guys. I doubt I will buy one used though. I am gun shy of buying used electronics. I bought two different cell phones and they were both a rip off. I don't know much about Fox Pro but they seem like good calls.

Does anybody know the range of the remote for the FX3. I even went to their web site and didn't find it.

It varys, but IF the caller is within your sight and off the ground the remote should work to 100 yards. Put the caller out of sight and/or sitting on the ground, it won't work that far.
That is one of the "upgrades" with the new Fury, the remote is suppose to work at a greater distance.

Great call I up graded from the FX3to a FX5. Main reason was for the remote. Has a few more options thatwas to my liking. Low battery indicator, 4 preset sound capability, turn nob sound scroll. The fx5 has a better speaker and sound so they say. The remote distance depends on weather, terrain, battery and line of sight. My furthest range if I remember 115 to 125yards and not a hicup. I beleive they stated in the utmost perfect conditions 700yards. Both are great units never had a problem with either. Except collecting dust!!!! Which is driving me [:@]. I just keep telling myself it won't rust or rot which helps a teeny bit. G L shopping
