Default Cougar

well 2 weeks ago my bud saw a cougar going up a hill a couple hundred yards away while duck hunting my property and this is bout the 5th or 6th sighting and 2nd in the last 2 years so we are going to post up on different hillsides of the property and place chickens in the small transparent cages in certain areas from the stands, hunting from dawn til dusk. any recommendations on what we can better do to possibly lure this sucker in? we know hes in my property, very plentiful and larger than average 6th ft fence.

Maybe you can put some sides of meat out or something or got to your butcher and keep collecting scraps.

If hunting them is leagal in your area, try using a call like you would for a coyote. Be sure to check and be in compliance with all your local and state game laws.

Fawn in distress call will work very well.

Yep it can. Some other calls that may work wellare an injured coyote or fox (perferably young sound), a barking dog or injured dog (they like dogs) or a calf (lost calfsound or calf in distress). If you have cattle in your area -mountain lionsLOVE beef. Check out varmintal.com for some MP3 call files. Be sure to always keeep an eye on your backside. I know of a bird hunter who shot one within a few feet (like 10 feet) of him. It was coming from behind in tall grass.
