Default Beaver for supper anyone???(PICS)

well i got this guy yesterday and someone told me to cook some of it and try it. sooo i googled some recipes and it turned out to be some of the best meat ive ever had! i sure know whats gonna happen to all of my beavers from now on. lol

from the creek

cut out the backstraps and cut into peices. beat em with a tenderizing mallet. rubbed em down good with garlic salt then trew on the grill. marinated with a mix of melted butter, worstershire sauce, and pepper. Mmm Mmm good

How did you get over the strong smell the meat has when it is raw? Did that potent smell go away after you cooked it?

Some of my family has always eaten the tail, not sure how but they like it I guess. Speaking of arrowing beaver, I have arrowed a few it's pretty fun. You have to make sure it is legal in your area though. Most likely it is not but they are exceptions sometimes you can get nuisance wavers from dnr

haha if you guys r wanting a real challenge go gig one of those damn things. A coon is a lot of fun too. Bowfishing them isnt the brightest idea in the world either lol
