Default Brushy fur gun

I hunt predators for thier fur and latley ive been hunting in some pretty thick spots. For the brush i like to use my 223 ackley with soft points or a 12 guage with #4 buck...anyone think anything different? Id appreciate all the help and advice u guysl giv out...thanks guys
