Default .22 buying advice

i need to buy an acurrate .22 to head shoot grey squirrels any decent model to look for ? used as i am on a fixed income. i will put a decent 4x scope on it. times getting tuff need to eat what i shoot.

SAVAGE 22mag $229.00 or 17 HMR $236.00 buy them used for 1/2 of that if not less

A marlin model 60 is a good one.
I have shot thausands of squirrels with one.
You can pick up one at a pawn shop for about $50 to $60
Or at a yard sale.
You just have to look.

I am thinking of getting a marlin semi auto or bolt17 mach 2.
Mabe a savage.

I second the 60 i also love the 925 its a little better than the 60 in my oppinion i like bolt actions
