Most states have trapping organizations and have their own websites. If that is the case in Georgia it would be a good start. If not, you should check out the magazine Fur, Fish, and Game.

I have never caught coons in footholds, but I catch about 15-20 a year in live traps for removal for nuisance purposes for farmers. They will walk right in a box trap for tuna fish, peanut butter, jelly, dog food or cat food soaked in meat grease.they should be easier than most other animals to trap. You are probably going to catch a few oppossums also.good luck!!

It is not even coon trapping season yet. If I were you I would stop trapping coon right now.
