Default 22 mag new ammo?

Has any one used the new ballistic tip ammo by hornidy or remington. My brother blew a squirrels head off at 40 yards! Has any one shot a yote yet with one? If you have what damage did it do?

Default RE: 22 mag new ammo?

I have used this ammo on gophers up here (about the same size as a squirrel). I found damage to be pretty good, but if you want more, I would suggest CCI' s TNT. I found them to hit harder, they have a BIGGER hole in the bullet for real good expansion. I' ve shot rabbits with them, but anything bigger I' m sure the damage won' t be great, but they' ll still kill. The Remingtons seemed to be a couple of bucks more/box, and I couldn' t justify the price for the performance, thats why I' d recommend TNT' s, you won' t be disappointed. JDinAB
