Default my first successful trapping

(Updated from "Havahart Question")

i found a coil spring in my basement and slid it over an edge of the door. Also, I read that to promote trigger sensitivity i should lubricate all contact points so, I greased those up as well. I tested it a few times in my basementand it worked pretty well....time to test my trap for real. i cut the bottom off of a 2Liter of mountain dew(as a food dish)and made some bait. ratfood with some Rice Krispies and peanut butter. i set it up in my backyard this afternoon and by this evening I got one!
**no squirrels were harmed during the testing of my trap**

If you need to put bait under the flap they trip it every time if you do that.
