Default Aguila 60 grain sss on fox?

Hey guys, what kind of results do you think I would have if a took my .22 LR fox hunting and used the 60 grain sss?[/align]

dont know, never shot them, but within 50 yards they should have enough bullet energy to kill a fox.

Might want to try to see what kind of groups you can get with them first as they wont stabilize in most 22lr's.

I've used the 60 grain SSS quite a bit - ditto on checking to see if your barrel will stabilize them. I've had mixed results in that regard. Sometimes I've had trouble with them key-holing and tumbling in flight.

As far as terminal performance, I'm not too impressed. I've taken several various small game/varmits with them and I've found that their killing power is not that great. Yes, everything I shot with them died, but varmits shot with some other bullets (Power Points, various CCI loads) tended to die quicker.

penetration is great I get 99% pass throughs on jack rabbits out to 50 yards.
