Small Game, Predator and TrappingFrom shooting squirrels in your backyard to calling coyotes in Arizona. This forum now contains trapping information..
I'm going yote hunting this weekend and I'm bringing my 22-250, but my buddy says to bring along a shotgun for close ones! He told me to buy some "Dead Coyote" shells, but I can't justify spending that much on shotshells. Won't 00 Buck or T-shot in lead, work just as well? What do you suggest?

I shoot the dead coyote loads in 3.5in. I think they are worth the price you pay, but if you don"t , go with the "T" in lead. Double OO buck would work to I spose. It"s up to you. I know the dead coyote will reach out there pretty good, and it patterns very well in my 870, so thats why I use it ,,,,Good luck.
#4 buckshot if it's legal,if you got a e-caller or a crow caller you may want to take some regular shotshells,if the coyote hunting fails,in the middle of the day you could enjoy some real fast action by calling in some crows and getting some wing shooting practice, leave your crows piled up at one of your good coyote spots they like free food thats easy to get as do other animals, just a suggestion to add to the hunt, good luck!
