Default Rem 700 22-250 with carbonfiber barrel

Been looking into getting one of these. I found one at the local gun shop, they are asking 1495$ for it. Itis used but appears to have been shot very little. Does anyone have any info on this type of 700. problems or pros

i was told by the dealer around here that they arent worth it. he said you can only shoot 1-2 shot before having to let it cool or the barrel will be perm/ damaged so i didnt pick one up. hope this helps
