Default Rabbit hunting today!

I went out back rabbit hunting today with a couple of buddies, two beagles and I've got a bunch of rabbits on my place. We took six, but could have shot many more, it's just great to get the dogs out and run some bunnies. anyone else been out?

It's good to see another rabbit hunter! I thought I was the only one.
I havn't been out this year, unfortunately, becausemy buddies don't have beagles anymore. But last year we layed the smack down on some cottontails and swampies.

Just thought that I'd throw this in here: if you don't do this already, try using and XF turkey choke rabbit hunting. It doesn't really help when the rabbit cross two foot from you, but it's great for when they're 30+ yards out. (I found this out when I forgot to bring my regular chokes)

I've been out a few weekends this year. We don't have any beagles so it's a little slower pased, but we manage to take 2 or 3 everytime usually, and get shots at several more. One of my buddies has a water spaniel that flushes them decently, so it's usually a pretty good time.

Weather has been terrible in Michigan for rabbit hunting. I sure hope we can get out in February, but they are beginning to run distances, fun stuff. Congrats!

I went and picked up some .410 shot shells today, in 4 shot, all they had in 3". I thought I would give my .410 single shot a try. The 12 ga. isn't much sport..LOL

I have shot probably 20 rabbits this season. 10 in one hunt, with my .22LR. I have shot the rest just pissing around the farm.

Yea, a .22 is a lot of fun to hunt bunnies with as long as you have the room to use one.

I use my 20 gauge 870, or my single .410.

ALL the time, 167 bunnies in the bag so far this season and that's not counting how many they've run when I'm not hunting!
