If you can shoot it straight enough yes. May a squirrel has been killed by a rock traveling 100 fps out of a slingshot. Just make sure you can hit it rightand not blow its toes off.

wad cutters.....the ones with flat noses....good shock power and excellent accuracy.

Crossman's wadcutters are good.

I agree - 600 FPS will take a squirrel (my son takes them with his Gamo 640)

I disagree onthe flat nose pellet selection. While the flat nose will do ok it may lack penetration from at 600fps rated airgun. They are better suited for 800 - 1000 fps rated guns. I would recommend a round nose or pointed pellet to ensure penetration.

My son has done the bar of soap penetration test and the Gamo Hunter pellets (round nose)delivered the best penetration (excluding the new gamo raptor pellets). Actually the Gamos completly round projectiles (look like a lead BB) had the best penetration, but lacks accuracy.

wat about crosman premier .177 cal hollow point hunting pellets?
I love my CP HP's. I think the are excellent. I use them at 750fps, and they work fine. Now i just need a squirrel to walk in range.
